Privacy Policy

Welcome to Credon.

Credon provides a QR-based Emergency Tag designed to help people contact an individual's emergency contacts when assistance may be needed. We understand that personal information, especially emergency contact details and medical information, must be handled carefully.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when it may be shared, and the choices available to you when using the Credon Emergency Tag and website.

By registering or using a Credon Emergency Tag, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. Where consent is required by applicable law, we will seek it appropriately.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide and maintain the Credon emergency service.

A. Information required to register a QR tag

When registering your tag, we may collect:

- Your mobile number.

- The mobile number of at least one emergency contact, with a maximum of three contacts.

- The name of an emergency contact, if provided.

We do not require an email address, home address, identity document, or government-issued ID to create your emergency profile.

B. Optional information

You may choose to provide additional information to help someone assist you during an emergency, such as:

- Blood group.

- Relevant medical information.

- A profile photograph.

Please provide only information you are comfortable sharing for emergency assistance. Do not include unnecessary sensitive details.

Important: Information added to your emergency profile may be visible to a person who scans your active QR tag. Only add information you are comfortable making available through the emergency page.

C. Information collected during a QR scan or call

When someone scans an active tag and uses the calling feature, certain technical information may be processed to operate the service. This may include QR-tag identifiers, technical logs, call details, and information processed by our telephony service provider.

The scan page does not ask the person scanning the tag to enter their own phone number. When they choose to call, their phone's dialler opens with the designated calling number ready to use. They must press the call button themselves.

The telephony provider may process the caller's phone number, the destination or routing details, call status, timestamps, and other information necessary to connect the call.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information for the following purposes:

- To register and activate your QR tag.

- To display the emergency information you choose to provide.

- To help a person scanning your tag contact your emergency contacts through the calling service.

- To allow you to update your profile or deactivate your QR tag.

- To maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.

- To respond to support requests and address misuse or technical problems.

- To meet applicable legal obligations.

We do not collect profile information for unrelated marketing purposes.

4. Emergency Contact Privacy

Credon is designed to help protect the privacy of your emergency contacts.

The calling feature uses a designated calling number to route calls rather than intentionally displaying your emergency contacts' personal phone numbers on the public scan page.

Depending on the calling service configuration, the system may attempt to contact your registered emergency contacts and connect the call according to the service's routing process.

Please ensure that you have permission to provide another person's phone number for emergency contact purposes and that the information is accurate.

5. Telephony Services

Call audio and related call information may be processed or stored by the telephony provider or service systems, depending on the configuration and operational requirements. Access to and retention of such records may also depend on the provider's policies and applicable law.

We may use telephony service providers to route and connect emergency calls. These providers process information as needed to provide their services.

6. When We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share or permit processing of relevant information only where reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including:

- Telephony providers: To route and connect emergency calls and operate related call services.

- Technology and hosting providers: To host the website, store profile information, and maintain the QR registration system.

- Legal authorities: Where disclosure is required by applicable law, a valid legal process, or a lawful request.

- Security and fraud prevention: Where reasonably necessary to investigate misuse, protect the service, or address security incidents.

Service providers should process information only as necessary to perform their services and subject to appropriate safeguards.

7. Public Access Through QR Scanning

An active Credon QR tag is intended to be scannable by another person without requiring the tag owner to approve each scan.

This accessibility is important to the emergency purpose of the product. However, it also means that information displayed on the emergency page may be seen by anyone who scans the active tag.

For your safety and privacy:

- Do not add information that is unnecessary for emergency assistance.

- Keep your emergency contacts accurate and up to date.

- Do not include private information that you do not want a scanner to see.

- Contact us if you believe your QR profile has been accessed or used improperly.

Anyone who possesses or can scan your QR tag may be able to access the information displayed on its active emergency page.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable steps intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or misuse.

However, no website, database, electronic communication, or internet-based service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We cannot promise that unauthorized access or technical failures will never occur.

You should keep your physical tag secure and contact us if you suspect misuse of your QR profile.

9. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain your registered QR profile, resolve disputes, protect the service, and meet applicable legal obligations.

If you deactivate your QR tag, it will no longer be available for normal active emergency use, subject to the system's operation. Deactivation does not necessarily mean that all associated records are immediately erased from backups, technical logs, or telephony records.

You may request correction or deletion of your profile information by emailing mycredonsupport@gmail.com. We will review and process your request subject to applicable law, legitimate service requirements, and any necessary retention obligations.

10. Your Choices and Responsibilities

You can:

- Update your registered profile information.

- Change your emergency contact details.

- Remove optional information you no longer wish to provide, where the system supports it.

- Request deactivation of your QR tag.

- Contact us with questions or requests about your personal information.

You are responsible for ensuring that the details you provide are accurate and that you are entitled to share the emergency contact information you submit.

11. Cookies and Technical Information

Our website or its hosting and security services may use essential cookies, server logs, or similar technical tools to maintain website functionality, security, and performance.

If additional analytics or advertising tools are introduced, this Policy should be updated to explain what information those tools collect and how it is used.

12. Children's Privacy

The Credon Emergency Tag should be registered and managed by an adult or by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of a child where appropriate.

If you believe that a child's personal information has been provided to us inappropriately, contact us at the email address below so we can review the matter and take appropriate action.

13. Third-Party Services and External Links

Some features depend on third-party services, including telephony, hosting, and telecommunications networks. Their availability, technical operation, and handling of information may be governed by their own terms and privacy practices.

Credon is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third parties outside its reasonable control. We will take reasonable steps to use service providers appropriate for the service's needs.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our service, technology, or legal requirements change.

The updated version will be published on our website with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
